DAY 1: Arrival, Check-in & Dinner

DAY 2: Golf, Shopping, Wine & Food

  • BREAKFAST at Baldi’s in Copperopolis Town Square
  • PLAY a morning round of golf at The Golf Club at Copper Valley on their 18 hole championship course. The Golf Club is truly a golf resort for players and couples of all level featuring 18 scenic holes and ranked 8th by Golf Week Magazine for Best Public Access Courses in California. Only Pebble Beach is rated higher in California with five stars.
  • VISIT Copperopolis Town Square for a bit of shopping
  • DRIVE 15 minutes to the Angels Camp Museum and see their large display of antique carriages, history of the Frog Jump and Mark Twain exhibit, and extensive displays of Gold Rush mining, minerals, ranching, and early life in Angels Camp. While you’re there ask where to find the “Hop of Fame” and the Chicken Ladder.
  • DRIVE 2 minutes to historic downtown Angels Camp for shopping & sightseeing. Have lunch at The Pickled Porch if you’re visiting Wednesday through Sunday.
  • CHECK IN at the Cottages in Greenhorn Creek
  • DINING: Lunch or dinner available at CAMPS Restaurant, Greenhorn Creek Resort, Cascabel’s Mexican, Mike’s Pizza, Red Ridge Restaurant

DAY 3 – Explore, Golf & Big Trees State Park

  • BREAKFAST at the Angels Creek Cafe, in historic Downtown Angels Camp
  • PLAY a morning round of golf at Greenhorn Creek’s 18 hole championship course, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr and designated one of California’s top 10 golf courses by California Magazine in 2015. This 6,740-yard, par 72 layout wanders through clusters of 200 year-old oak trees and over a once busy tract of underground gold mines.  Changing elevations along with natural and man-made hazards, such as a stone farmer’s wall, ancient Chinese oven and a variety of water hazards will challenge every golfer’s skill level.
  • DRIVE 10 minutes to historic downtown Murphys
  • EXPLORE wine and food in historic Murphys – which features over 20 tasting rooms, all within strolling distance
  • DRIVE 30 minutes to Arnold
  • CHECK IN at Arnold Black Bear Inn or Meadowmont Lodge
  • EXPLORE: Walk/hike as vigorously as you like at Calaveras Big Trees State Park, Arnold. Be surrounded by giants in exquisitely peaceful surroundings.
  • IN THE SUMMER:  Have a beautiful dinner at Sequoia Woods Country Club, a private, 18-hole course in a beautiful mountain setting nestled in the western Sierra Nevada at a 4,000-foot elevation OR drive 15 minutes to Brice Station Vineyards for Shakespeare on the Vine with picnic

DAY 4: Museum, Golf & Vineyard Tour

  • BREAKFAST at Arnold Black Bear Inn or Bristol’s Cafe
  • EXPLORE: Sierra Nevada Logging Museum, Arnold or hike part of the Arnold Rim Trail at the Logging Museum trailhead
  • LUNCH: Pick up a picnic at Big Trees Market or drive up to the dog-friendly Lube Room for an outstanding burger and beer
  • DRIVE 15 minutes to Forest Meadows, Murphys to play 9 holes of golf at Forest Meadows Golf Course.  Open to the public, just 4 miles east of downtown Murphys, this Robert Trent Jones, Jr. golf course features 2.440 + yards with 4 Tee Positions. The course weaves through towering pines and oaks. Stop in for lunch at The Sports Bar, before or after your round of golf.  They are open every day, 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  • DRIVE 15 minutes to Ironstone Vineyards, Murphys
  • TOUR Ironstone Vineyards museum with its 40 lb. crystalline gold nugget (the largest ever found), gift shop, manicured grounds & wine cave. In the summer, Ironstone hosts big-name concerts like Train, Toby Keith, Brad Paisley, Bush, Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, and more.   • CHECK IN to the Victoria Inn, Murphys
  • DINE at V Restaurant and have one of their amazing cocktails.

DAY 5: Cave Tours, Shopping, Wine Tasting & Live Music

DAY 6: Golf, Lunch & Return

  • DRIVE: North on 49 to Mokelumne Hill. At the 4-way stop, right before you get to the downtown Mokelumne Hill turn, look in the little shopping center to your right, and you will see Frank’s Cafe. This good old-fashioned diner will not let you leave hungry! Check out their Yelp reviews here.
  • Check out historic downtown Mokelumne Hill. If you still need a pick-me-up after leaving Frank’s, grab your favorite coffee drink at Moke-A-Java and Moke Hill Nuts and Candies.
  • DRIVE: 5 minutes to the newest addition to Moke Hill – Posterity Ciderworks. This family-owned and operated cidery makes hard cider with locally grown and homestead apples, pears, and quince.  Stop by, try their cider, and see what sets them apart.
  • DRIVE: 15 minutes to Valley Springs
  • PLAY a round of golf at La Contenta Golf Club in Valley Springs. This beautiful course is shaded by large oak trees and depending on the time of year, you may see wild turkey and deer. Designed by Richard Bigler, the La Contenta course features a blend of meadow/valley fairways and rolling terrain highlighted by the dramatic drop of the signature 13th hole.
  • LUNCH at the La Contenta Bar & Grill  OR
  • DRIVE 10 minutes to Thai House Restaurant
